ABOUT THE ETHOS ATHLETES PODCAST:
The Ethos Athletes Podcast is a resource run by me, Dr. Matthew Hernandez, to educate you on how to maintain your active lifestyle and live your best life.
WHO IS DR. MATTHEW HERNANDEZ?
I’m a Naturopathic Physician specializing in Joint Pain and Regenerative Orthopedics.
I truly believe that your health is the most important resource you have in your life. You can have all the time, money, and energy in the world and without your health, you can’t do anything with them.
HOW DO I KNOW ABOUT THIS STUFF? WHY DID I START THIS PODCAST?
My patients are physically active and care about their health.
As a result, they search for answers to their health-related questions online and through friends. Often overwhelmed with conflicting information, they ask me my thoughts on the matter, and through our discussions I realized something:
For as much good information that is out there, there is also a lot of crap information out there.
Now I’ll be the first to admit, when they ask a question I don’t know the answer to, I simply reply:
“I Know Enough to Know I Don’t Know Everything.”
“But You Know I Love to Learn and I Will Get You the Answer.”
Wanting to get my patients answers I can stand by, I then do my own research to the best of my ability. This usually involves making phone calls to experts on the topic, going through research articles and/or reading a book or books. Once I find the answer, I make sure to get back to my patient and store the information for the next time I need it.
Don’t worry, I love doing this stuff and am fortunate to have a natural curiosity!
I started this podcast for 3 simple reasons:
1. My patients need answers to their questions and look to me as a resource.
2. I want to help you avoid all the misinformation out there.
3. Did I mention…I f**king love to learn!
